1. 你怎么了？ This expression can have several meanings. The most common one is „Is there something bothering you”, and it is used to enquire about someone well-being: „What happened to you?”  怎么 means „how”, but when it the particle 了 (le) is used after it, indicating a recent event, the meaning is: „What happened?”. In the expression 怎么回事, the meaning of  怎么 is preserved. The entire expression 怎么回事 is a set-phrase with the meaning „How come?”

2. 蛋 itself means egg, but it is generally used in a deprecatory manner when we refer to a person. So we encounter this character in the following several cases:
